What is the VANS VR3 Agreement?
Starting from the top, VR3 is, and will continue to be, a logo that represents VANS ‘most sustainable offerings’ brand-wide, spotlighting their most innovative pairs now containing Regenerative, Responsibly Sourced Renewables and Recycled materials – each for a reason, of course! This doesn’t change the essential DNA, though.
What Will the VANS VR3 Agreement Do?
As a whole, 100% of VANS top 4 CO2 contributing materials are set to derive from the sources above by 2030. That’s pretty exciting, don’t you think? What does this mean exactly?
Well, Regeneration suggests the adoption of materials produced by means of regenerative agriculture or grazing practises, whereas Responsibly Sourced Renewable materials naturally regenerate in a human’s lifetime, verified for responsible production of feedstocks and processing methods. Finally, Recycled goods – those pieced together from discarded items recycled into usable raw textile or rubber.
